"Drink today, and drown all sorrow;
You shall perhaps not do it tomorrow.
Best, while you have it, use your breath.
There is no drinking after death."

Musings on life & love from the bars of the world....

Mr Henry Purcell was a famed p1ss artist as well as court composer.
His wife told him: "I'm not letting you in if you come back drunk." He did, she did; he got pneumonia and died; she was left pennyless. Nothing more heard of their kids.
In the meantime, he wrote drinking songs, some obscene.
My fave ends "so go thy way distainful sow; good claret be my mistress now".
And that, Mr Blue Barstool is a sound sentiment.
