The best of the live versions in the follow-up menu is from BBC2's Old Grey Whistle Test.
I was a little surprised to find them on that. I didn't think OGWT had survived far into the 80s. What a great show that was - another key part of my childhood.
That shows the slight age gap between us, Froog, can be on some issues a chasm. My childhood was much more The Tube than OGWT.
Ah, yes, pop culture dates us very quickly. It is one of the reasons I maintain that it is pretty much impossible to go out with a much younger woman of the same nationality. With Americans, on the other hand, where you don't really expect to have any childhood pop culture references in common. it's open season....
