I'm curious to see how MJ's demise will affect the Chinese.

This is perhaps the first time that there's been a sufficiently open news environment here for them to be aware of the death of one of the figures in their pantheon of Western popular music. They always talk about John Denver and Karen Carpenter as if they were still with us. (And Elvis too, although he doesn't have quite such a big following.) I'm thinking of arranging a 'Comeback Tour' with aging lookalikes.
