Ask the Weeble to give him an alarm call.
It worked! (Unlike my alarm-clock/radio, which unaccountably failed to go off at the appointed time.) Thanks, Weebs. I owe you one.
And were you really still up at Amilal at 8am???

I certainly was not! I went home at the same time you did -- but as I've got no AC there, I am pretty much guaranteed to wake up bright and early in the morning.
Glad you made the flight. And I will be sorely disappointed if you don't make it to Fergie's.
I'll do my best on the Burger Quest.
I don't know how anyone can wake up that breezily after the night we had. I was completely comatose - could happily have snoozed till noon.
I'd been exercising moderation, unlike some people I could name -- only had a couple of beers all night, and then went home and drank a bunch of water. And, again, the lack of AC means that no matter what kind of state I'm in, I will awake bright and early every morning to the sensation of being broiled.
I see you're also looking for bar recommendations, so allow me once again to recommend Fergie's, which besides doing excellent burgers is also a good pub. Also nice (though very hipsterish, from the one time I was there on my last visit) is the Royal Tavern at 7th and Passyunk, down in my neighborhood. I'm told that they also do a good burger, though I can't confirm this.
