A change from the usual

I looked in at Jiangjinjiu on my way home last night, expecting a little fix of central Asian folk-jazz from Panjir, but..... well, last night, D-jaan and Ekber-jaan, the wizardly guitar duo from that band, were playing instead in a threesome with a young guitarist friend of theirs.  And you have to be pretty seriously f***ing good to get invited to play with those guys.   Rather different from the usual Thursday night programme, but quite as captivating.
